Psalm 40: 1-2 – “I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. He brought me up also out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.”
We need to learn how to wait on God. God does things in His timing, not ours, so we need to learn to wait with patience and a good attitude. Everybody waits, so we might as well learn to wait well!
When people patiently and expectantly wait on God in the midst of horrible circumstances, suddenly God breaks through. So don’t give up! Don’t stop believing! Stay full of hope and expectation. God’s power is limitless, and He’ll breakthrough for you!
God has an individualized, customized plan for your life. As you trust Him, He will bring it to pass in His timing, not yours. Waiting on God’s plan and timing is wise because His ways are always best. He is the Lord of peace, and as you surrender your heart and life to Him, you will experience the peace that passes understanding.
All we want to say is LEARN TO WAIT ON GOD. The scripture says, I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. The psalmist said he waited patiently for the lord and He inclined unto him and heard his cry. Your heavenly Father has something great for you. He has made you a partaker of His heavenly calling. Whatever it is that you need has being given to you already.
You may not have it now but it has being made available to you. You only must trust in the Lord and wait on Him. Wait on the Lord and you will see the glory of God in your life. If you wait not on the Lord, you will have nothing but pain, sorrows, worries and most of all, you may end up in destruction.
Abraham was called by God and given a promise of greatness at age Seventy Five. He waited and waited and God gave him a son at age Ninety and nine. It may be painful to wait on God but learn to wait on God. A man who learns to wait on God, receives joy in return.
