Today Is Your Day! “A lot of times, we have faith for the future. We believe that one day we’ll get a good break, one day we’ll feel better, one day we’ll see the problem turn around. If we’re not careful, we’re always putting our faith off, believing that in the future something good is going to happen. But true faith is always in the present.
The Bible teaches us to have hope for today and not for tomorrow. You’ll learn how to look for God’s favor, expand your vision, break down “one day” mentalities and start seeing more of God’s favor in your life now.
To seek God first is non-negotiable. Choose to cancel everything in your schedule today, and make some effort to worship the Lord. Respect and honor God! Choose Him over everything and you’ll regret nothing.
I want to encourage you today, don’t put your life on hold while you are waiting for something big from God. Every day we all have things to do and relationships to tend to. There is life out there to live while you are waiting for your appointed time!
Keep your joy. Life is going to throw you curves. There will be disappointments, things that aren’t fair. That’s when you have to declare, “Yet will I rejoice in the Lord.” We should make this decision every morning, “I will be joyful today.” Decide ahead of time that you’re going to enjoy the day. When you’re tempted to get upset, frustrated, remind yourself that you have the power to remain calm. Keep it in perspective; this day is a gift. Honor God by living it grateful, happy, and to the fullest.
Every day is a new beginning with God. Take hold of His mercy, receive His grace, and let Him empower you through any difficulty you may face. Remember, that challenge didn’t come to stay; it came to pass.
No matter where you’ve come from, no matter what’s happened in your past, God wants to make you new. It’s a new day, and He wants to give you a fresh start! Shake off the past and embrace all He has for you!
Remember, God wants to be good to you, but He’s waiting for you to start expecting His favor and begin looking for His goodness. Today is your day to live with expectancy—where you can’t wait to see what God is going to do in your life.”
