Father, Every day you provide me the willingness to ,make progress and make every step fruitful. Stretched out before me Is an ever lengthening, ever ascending and ever improving path. Isaiah 12:2 (KJV)
Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and will not be afraid; for the LORD GOD is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation.
Salvation is a free gift for all who believe! We don’t deserve it. We can’t earn it. But because of His great love, we can enter into eternal life. Meditate on this amazing gift today! See Romans 10:9-10.
Salvation by grace through faith is not a difficult thing we have to or can control but rather a miracle to believe and receive. Salvation is God’s love at work in us when we say yes to His plan. When we accept Jesus into our hearts, minds and souls and say yes is how we demonstrate our faith. Salvation is God’s work, we cannot save ourselves, it is grace because we did nothing to deserve it, it is His gift to us. He alone places the light in our hearts and He leads us out from the darkness.
God’s gift of salvation, once received, changes you forever. The grace of God provides what we lack: righteousness. This righteousness is what gives the Holy Spirit the ability to dwell in us and usher in the transformation of salvation. And this righteousness is a gift because of grace.
Father, my journey with you starts with one small step at a time. I know you don’t expect me to run the mile, but you promise to give me the strength to go the distance. I know it may take a while to get to the end of my journey, but this, so far from discouraging, only adds to the joy and glory of the climb, Jesus we pray, amen!
