A Conversation with God – Joyce Meyer

It’s so important to remember that prayer is meant to be a conversation. When you’re praying, make sure to listen to what God tells you, either through His Word or His still, small voice in your heart (which will always line up with His Word).

Prayer can appear to be a great intimidating task that we are either unqualified for or privileged to perform, yet prayer is just communicating to God. Today, we want you to know that God is listening and He wants to hear from you.

It’s so important to be in conversation with God daily! No matter where you are in your walk, you can always grow stronger.

Remember, prayer isn’t just asking for what you need or desire. Prayer is communication with God. It is thanking Him for all He has done. Prayer is meant to be a conversation between our powerful, loving Creator and His creation. God wants to be in an active relationship with us through the ups and the downs.

Hebrews 11:6 says, “God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” God rewards your faith through prayer. He delights to see you seek Him, and you’re not alone in meeting Him—He shows up, too. Remember that when you come to pray, and don’t be afraid to ask boldly, consistently, fervently.

God uses everyday life to teach us important life lessons, obedience is the most important thing to God, learn to obey God in the little things so you won’t miss out on the big things He has for you!

God is not someone we go to for an hour on Sunday morning and then disregard the rest of the week unless it’s an emergency—He is someone we live with. He’s our home, our safe place, and we can be comfortable with Him.

As we’re faithful to God; He’ll release His favor on us and bless us for our faithfulness. Sometimes it can come in big gestures, but there are many times that God “winks” at us, letting us know He’s here for us.

God is not ever going to run out of compassion. He’s not ever going to run out of forgiveness. He’s not ever going to say, “Well, this is the last time I’m going to give you mercy.” No, you can have His mercy and a new beginning every single day!

God has a Word for you today: keep your heart open and keep your ears of faith open. Seek Him and you will find Him when you seek Him with all of your heart!

Prayer Starter: Father, thank You so much that talking to You doesn’t have to be a ritual or formula! Today, help me to be aware and intentional to thank You for the blessings in each moment, and to listen closely when You speak. In Jesus’ Name, amen
