Some scars last a lifetime, but I can promise you, it doesn’t have to keep you from your destiny. You have to be at peace with your scars. There are a lot of things in life we don’t understand: why bad things happen to good people, why we came down with an illness, why somebody betrayed us, why we walk with a limp. Don’t get bitter. It’s not going to stop you. Your scars are not there to hold you back; they are reminders of the grace of God, of what He’s brought you through.
Nothing that has happened to you has to keep you from your destiny. If it were going to stop your purpose, God wouldn’t have allowed it. You may not understand it, it may not have been fair, but it’s not a surprise to God. If you’ll take the hand you’ve been dealt and make the most of it, God will get you to where you’re supposed to be. No person can stop Him, no bad break, no sickness, no addiction. God has the final say. Tell the excuses, “It is finished.” Tell the discouragement, “It is finished.” This is a new day. God is about to do a new thing.
Let’s start passing down good things. Let’s live generously. Let’s make it easier on those that come after us.
