“As soon as you began to pray, a word went out, which I have come to tell you, for you are highly esteemed.” Daniel 9:23, NIV
In life we’re always waiting for something—waiting for a dream to come to pass, waiting to meet the right person, waiting for a problem to turn around. You may have prayed for a situation for a long time without seeing any results. You may quickly become demoralized. But you have to realize that the moment you prayed, God assigned a certain date for the fulfillment of the promise about your recovery, advancement, and breakthrough. It may happen now, next week, or in five years.
Remember the things you have now that you once prayed for. Sometimes it’s so easy to overlook the provisions God blesses us with each day when our minds are consumed with the future. So today we want to challenge you to reflect on one experience you’re grateful to God for today.
God promises that there are set times in our future, but He doesn’t tell us when they will be. You won’t feel any pressure when you realize that the time has already been established. You won’t spend your days worrying about when this will actually occur. You’ll relax and enjoy your life, knowing that the promise has already been scheduled by the Creator of the universe. Are you willing to wait with a good attitude, knowing that it’s on the way?
David went and prayed to God 3 times a day, and was a custom among pious Hebrews. I pray all the time and am constantly seeking God’s responses for what I should do. How about you? Do you need to remember to pray more? God loves hearing from you!
Prayer for Today: “Father, thank You that You have established set times to bring Your promises to pass in my life. Give me the fortitude to wait patiently and accept Your timing, knowing that You have already planned everything out for me. I believe that my times are in Your hands. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
