Obedience is the most important thing to God! Everything God asks us to do is for our benefit so we should quickly and promptly obey Him. Obedience to God is the answer to straightening out any problem you will ever have. To take hold of something new, we always have to let go of something old. When we give up something in obedience to God, He gives us back something better!
God’s grace and power are available for us to use. God enables us or gives us an anointing of the Holy Spirit to do what He tells us to do.
Love for Jesus reaches its fullest expression as we love our brothers and sisters as He commanded. When we abide in His love and walk in spirit and truth we truly fulfill the commandment that the Lord Jesus gave to His disciples.
The scripture says, “His ways are not our ways.” You’re not always going to understand what God is doing. If you’re going to make it to your promised land, it’s going to take bold obedience.
What Christ asks of us can sometimes take work of course, but that is the point isn’t it? That we become better, clearer representatives of His way on earth, and what a gift that is for that path really heals us as we walk it.
The way you have been loved by Jesus has changed your life. God’s love heals us, we are made to feel worthy and we are given a chance to live our life as He meant us too. This love motivates obedience and motivates love for others.
God could work only through our obedience but because He is a loving and faithful God, He also redeems our failure. When we confess, repent, and turn back to him, failure is not the end of our story.
Maybe you’re waiting on God, but God is waiting on you. It may be just a small thing, but if you will make that simple adjustment, your act of obedience will bring a miracle.
Thankfully, God is merciful, and He helps us in the midst of our mistakes. But He is not going to give us strength and energy to disobey Him. We can avoid many stressful situations simply by obeying the Holy Spirit’s promptings at all times.
Prayer Starter: Father, I know Your plan is always best for my life. Please help me today and every day to obey the promptings of Your Holy Spirit in every area. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
