Scripture says, “Don’t despise the day of small beginnings.” In other words, don’t get frustrated when things don’t happen on your timetable. Be faithful with what is in your hand today, and God will work out the details of tomorrow!
When you woke up this morning, God gave you a gift called “today” wrapped in a twenty-four-hour period of time. Always remember how precious this gift is because you can never get back the time that has gone by.
Get up every day and begin to declare who God says you are. “I am a child of the Most High God. I am loved by God. I am strengthened by God. I am accepted by God, and I am full of purpose and destiny.” This will change the atmosphere of your life, and then you will have treasure stored up in your heart to draw from. As you continue to encourage yourself, you will have the ability to see the best not only in yourself, but also in others.
You must be willing to trust God to work with you and help you become all you were created to be. No matter where you are on your journey, don’t be discouraged. When self-doubt creeps into your mind and whispers, “God can’t use me. I don’t have the talent; I’ve made so many mistakes. It’s too late.” Take those thoughts captive and stop them in their tracks. You have to declare, “I am a work in progress. God is making me into who He is calling me to be.”
Remember, we don’t shine because of what people say and do. We shine because God sees us as valuable. Put your shoulders back and hold your head up high. Stand strong in faith and shine because you are wanted, and that never changes!
Today, I believe God is doing things for you that you cannot do for yourself! He wants to surprise you with His goodness and amaze you with His love.
Did you get up this morning ready to embrace the day? Or did you wake up weary, focused on the trials that you may be facing and the frustrations that lie in your path?
What we choose to focus on can make all the difference in our lives. To be exceptional means you are intentional with your attitude. Look for what’s right in your life and be grateful for what you have. When we look for God’s goodness and set our eyes on His promises, our thoughts will shift from defeat to victory.
Make the decision to wake up every day with an attitude of faith and expectancy. Believe in yourself and step out of your comfort zone. Stay the course of faith and watch what God will do in your life.
Know this: Even though you may be fighting some spiritual battles, God has won some battles for you that you won’t ever know about. Thank Him for the victory you can see and the victory that you can’t see. He’s always moving on your behalf!
Instead of just rushing through the day and saying, “What’s next, God?” Stop and savor every blessing. Thank Him for life, sunshine and breath! Let gratitude carry you through.
Every morning when you wake up, thank God that He is waking up something new in you!
