God sometimes speaks by giving us peace deep inside our hearts. You can find yourself in a scenario where everyone around you is encouraging you to trust God and be at peace, but you don’t know how to do it.
Fears are yelling at you, making you feel uneasy, and frightening you. “Everything will be fine,” your friends say, but you don’t believe them until God Himself speaks to your heart and says, “You can trust me; I will take care of this.” Everything really is going to be all right.”
Trust God so much that you don’t have to know everything. Real trust is knowing God knows and trusting He will take care of you.
Trust God no matter what. Believe that God is good. Trust in God’s plan. Joyce encourages you to do this because if you do, no matter what you’re going through, no matter how unjust or unfair it appears to be, He will give you what you need at the perfect moment.
We do what God gives us to do, and then we trust God to do what only He can do. How do you know when you’re in works of the flesh? When you start feeling frustrated.
Trust God to help you do your best, and trust Him to do the rest. It’s one thing to trust God in the light…it’s another thing entirely to trust Him when you don’t understand. That’s the kind of faith we’re after and that’s the kind of faith the world needs to see!
God’s purpose is beyond our comprehension when we go through things that are hard. It makes no sense to you and it doesn’t seem fair, but trust God and do good!
Trusting God is simply believing that He loves you, He’s good, He has the power to help you, He wants to help you, and He will help you. Christians are called believers, but many times, we are more like unbelieving believers.
We trust our friends, the bank, the stock market or the government more than we trust God and His Word. God wants us to put Him first in our lives. He wants us to put our confidence and trust in Him, all the time, in everything.
If you have a need, ask God to meet it, trust that He will meet it in the right way at the right time, and set yourself to be satisfied with that. Trust in God, don’t worry, think about what you’re thinking about, and maintain peace in your heart no matter what is going on in your life!
Prayer Starter: Lord Jesus, help me to trust completely in You, way down deep in my heart. In Jesus’ name, amen.
