Don’t condemn yourself. You are not a failure. If you took a step of faith and a door closed, that means you’re one step closer to an open door. So when you get knocked down, don’t stay down, get back up again!
No matter what other people have said to you, about you, no matter how much rejection you’ve had or abandonment or how many people tried to put you down, God says you are wonderful. You are not a mistake. Now maybe everything you do isn’t wonderful but way deep down on the inside, the person that you really are is wonderful. And some of you maybe have had so many problems in your life, you don’t even really know who that person is anymore.
Maybe you’ve pretended so much and you’ve tried to be so much of what you think other people want you to be that you’ve lost sight of who you are. But the real you, the you that God created, you that’s inside wanting to be free, that is wonderful!
And you can begin to say, “God created me with His own hand in my mother’s womb. I am not a mistake. I’m not weird because I’m not like everybody else. I am unique.” And I dare you to say, “And I am wonderful.”
God does not want you to fulfill God’s plan for your life. If he can make you believe that you are incapable, then you won’t even try to accomplish anything worthwhile. Even if you do make an effort, your fear of failure will seal your defeat, which, because of a lack of confidence, you probably expected from the beginning. This is often what is referred to as the “Failure Syndrome.” People fail because of wrong beliefs, and they continue to have wrong beliefs because they fail. It is hard to know which came first, but they find themselves in a trap they cannot seem to get out of.
If you had a dream that’s been shattered, it’s time to let go of that and get a new dream. If you had a failure in the past, you’re not a failure because you did something that didn’t work.
There’s always an opportunity for a new beginning. You can always begin again. You can do whatever you need to do through Christ, who is your strength. You are not weak; you are strong. You are more than a conqueror through Jesus. You are an overcomer!
Jesus defeated Satan and triumphed over him on the cross, and His victory is our victory. You can defeat failure syndrome because you are more than a conqueror through Christ (Romans 8:37).
Prayer Starter: Father, I know You are always with me, even when I fail. Please help me to keep getting back up and fighting the good fight. Thank You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
