The scripture says, “God’s ways are not our ways, they are better than our ways.” If you’re only going to be happy if it works out your way, you’re setting yourself up for disappointment. God has a large picture view of your life. Hand over responsibility to Him.
It’s easy to get so focused on our dreams and goals that we’re not going to be happy until it happens. We put God in a box and tell Him what we want and when we want it. But the scripture says, “God’s ways are not our ways, they are better than our ways.” Trust in His timing.
God’s ways are not our ways; His plan is better than our plan. Don’t fight the valleys. Stay in faith. Every closed door, every disappointment, every bad break is not a surprise to God. That valley is a chance for God to raise you to a new level. When you’re on the summit, God is leading your steps, and when you’re in the valley, He’s directing your feet.
God’s ways are better than our ways. He is the potter; we are the clay. If your trial is supposed to be removed, then He’ll remove it. If not, dig your heels in and fight the good fight of faith. You have the grace you need for every situation.
God meets you at the level of your expectations. God wants to be good to you, but He’s waiting for you to start expecting His favor, looking for His goodness. Start expecting this year to be better than last year—that’s when blessings will chase you down.
Often we miss out on God’s best because we give up too soon. But God can change everything for the better in a moment’s notice. God is closer than you think.
What God started in your life He will finish. It’s possible that you’re going through a rough patch. Simply keep shining. You’re not going to be the same after this. You’ll emerge stronger, more promoted, and better than you were before.
God never created us to reach one level and then stop. Whether you’re 9 or 90 years old, you should constantly be learning, improving your skills, and getting better at what you do. Whatever your current circumstances are, no matter how good or horrible they appear to be, God has better things in store for you in the future. More favor, more possibilities, more blessings, and bigger goals are all on the way.
When you go through difficulties, things you don’t understand, remember, God wouldn’t have allowed you to get in it if He couldn’t bring you out. He’s going to take it one step further and bring you out better than you were before.
The scripture says, “His ways are not our ways.” You’re not always going to understand what God is doing. If you’re going to make it to your promised land, it’s going to take bold obedience.
