No More Excuses – Joel Osteen Daily Devotion (May-10-2022)

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: “But they all alike began to make excuses.” Luke 14:18, ESV

TODAY’S WORD: It’s easy to come up with reasons why we can’t be happy. But as long as you’re making excuses, you’ll justify staying where you are. Excuses allow us to accept less than God’s most best. Discard the justifications. You have the ability to defeat it.

Excuses are a dime a dozen. As long as you’re making excuses, you’ll justify staying where you are and settling for less than God’s best.

As long as you’re blaming what was unfair in the past or blaming a friend for a disappointment, you’ll be stuck where you are. You need to throw out the excuses and say, “I refuse to live with a chip on my shoulder.” If you get rid of the excuses, God will pay you back for the hurt.

Step up to a new level and have the attitude, no more excuses to live unhappy or settle for mediocrity.

They say if you always make an excuse, you’ll always have one. I say, if you always make an excuse, you’ll miss your miracle.

Don’t make excuses or settle for mediocrity. Declare today, “I’m pursuing my goals, overcoming obstacles, and breaking habits that have held me back. No excuses to feel inferior, no excuses to give up on my dreams. I have what it takes. I will become all God created me to be.”

Rise up in faith and declare that this is your time. Don’t settle where you are. Don’t let excuses hold you back. Today, take steps of faith to pursue new opportunities and get rid of wrong mindsets.

Give God what you have. Don’t make excuses. Don’t sit on the sidelines of life feeling intimidated and shortchanged. Put your life, your goals and your dreams into God’s hands.

Live without excuses. Refuse to feel sorry for yourself. Instead, concentrate on being everything God created you to be.

PRAYER FOR TODAY: “Father, thank You that You are my vindicator, and You will pay me back for past hurts. I let go of all my excuses and refuse to settle for less than Your best for me. I declare that I will become all You created me to be. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
