God has been showing me that we need to be aware of His present provisions now, and not just in the future. Jesus said in John 14:6, “I am the Way and the Truth and the Life.” He is the Way, and He will help you find a way even where there doesn’t seem to be one.
Wait on God, because God’s help will strengthen you to behave in a godly way all day long if you trust in Him. Even while you wait on God to manifest His plan, your heart can greatly rejoice in His presence. Tell someone something good that God has done for you, and then watch Him move in the presence of your praise.
With God’s help, there is always a way. This is a beautiful truth to be grateful for. It may not be easy; it may not be convenient; it may not come quickly. You may have to go over, under, around, or through difficulty—but if you will simply keep on keeping on, you will find a way.
God will take you where you’re at and He’ll help you get to where you need to be. God can use you on every level. A perfect is not someone who never makes mistakes. A perfect heart is one who loves God with all their heart, soul, mind and strength, and who is fully committed to Him.
I pray that you will set aside the next year to pursue God with a thankful heart. Don’t go through your life frustrated, miserable, and unhappy; God has something much better in store for you.
Live each day with a thankful heart, grateful for every good thing— no matter how big or how small—that God has done in your life. As you begin to remember the good things God has done in your past and realize the blessings you have in the present, you can’t help getting excited about what He is going to do in your future.
Today, whether you are facing a significant, weighty situation or something more minor, if you don’t know what to do, my advice is the same: Tell God you don’t know what to do, but that you will keep your eyes on Him because you know He does have the answer and will guide you.
Prayer Starter: Father, You are the great “I am,” and I thank You for being with me…right here, right now. Help me today to recognize Your goodness and begin expecting You to show up in my life in mighty ways. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
