Viral Throwback Photo Shows Forest Guard Carrying Baby Elephant on His Shoulder

Have you heard the story of forest guard Palanichamy Sarathkumar, who rescued an elephant calf and carried it on his shoulders?

Many cases occur in which individuals go to great lengths to save their pets or other creatures. A man is seen carrying a 100-pound elephant calf on his shoulders in this story.

People who performed such things to animals were motivated by a desire to help wild animals. They are simply concerned with the safety of the wild animal and not with their own personal gain.

The rescue of an elephant calf by a Tamil Nadu forest guard made headlines. Mr. Palanichamy carried the half that had fallen into a ditch on his shoulders. Later on, the calf was reunited with its mother.

In the snap, a forest guard can be seen carrying a baby elephant on his shoulders to reunite it with its mother.

Palanichamy Sarathkumar, a forest guard, received a call from someone reporting an elephant obstructing the road. Sarathkumar and his colleagues arrived at the location and pushed the jumbo to return to the woods. However, the entire rescue squad soon located a calf trapped behind a ditch and comprehended the elephant’s plight.

The elephant calf was tired and confused. Palanichamy helped the elephant by pulling the boulder out of his way as it was blocking the elephant’s way out.

They wanted to take the calf to its mother, who they suspected was on the other side of the river. They were aware that elephant moms are fiercely protective of their offspring. Sarathkumar decided to carry the elephant on his shoulders at the moment because he did not want to endanger the lives of others.

Palanichamy stands 6 feet tall and weighs 80 kilograms, but he carried a 100 kilogram calf for 50 meters. Following that, he kept the kid by the water hole in the hopes that the mother would come and find him.

They went back and when they returned the next morning, they found the calf missing. They located the pug marks of both the calf and a bigger elephant. So it was clear that the baby reunited with its mother.

Everyone applauds the forest guard’s efforts as they read this article. Despite the fact that it was a long time ago, Ms. Bajpai just shared a photo of Palanichamy Sarathkumar carrying the young elephant. Sarathkumar is being hailed as a hero after this photo went viral. He is indeed a hero who deserves all of the accolades.
