God’s promises and blessings come with conditions that we must meet in our hearts. Scripture says, “Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart” (Psalm 37:4).
While we want God to give us our hearts’ desires, God first wants to shape His desires in our hearts so that He can bring out the best in us. The condition of your heart must be that you delight in Him, which means you find your joy and happiness, your purpose and meaning, in Him.
There are blessings that await you when you make the choice to take a step of faith. Faith doesn’t mean you have all the answers, it means you know the one who does.
In every season of our life, we’re tempted to focus on our present burdens and miss the blessings. We love it when we receive the blessing, the promotion, the new house, the baby, but with the blessing comes new burdens, responsibilities, payments, cares. Rather than enjoy where we are on the way to where we’re going, we get so caught up in the challenges that we miss the beauty of this moment.
God’s goodness provides our blessings, and being thankful for those blessings allows us to keep them.
You could be in one of the best seasons of your life, but you don’t realize it because you’re focused on the struggles, on what you don’t like, on what’s taking so long. You have to put your foot down at some point and say, “This is the day the Lord has made, and I will not allow my burdens to take my joy.”
When you have the blessing, you won’t have room to receive all the good things God has in store.
What God has ordained for you will not go to anyone else. Don’t worry about someone getting your promotion, your blessing, your favor, your spouse. Someone else cannot take what God has predicted for your life. Stop being angry because you didn’t get what you wanted. They couldn’t have obtained it if it was supposed to be yours. Allow yourself to rejoice for them, knowing that God has something better in store for you.
You are blessed, prosperous, redeemed, forgiven, talented, creative, disciplined, focused, confident, secure, equipped, empowered, anointed, accepted, approved, not average, not mediocre, you are a child of the most high God.
It’s easy to take our blessings for granted, but when we encourage one another, we remind ourselves how blessed we are to have such wonderful people in our lives.
You can’t live with negative thinking and expect to have a positive life. Don’t let wrong thinking separate you from all that God has for you! Know that He loves you, and He has blessings in store for you.
When God pours out His blessing on us, it’s not because of what we do, but because of who He is. His blessings are based on His goodness, not ours.
