Some think prayer is a duty. Others think of it as a quick fix. And yet others consider it a last resort. The truth is that you can communicate with your heavenly father at any time and from anyplace by praying.
God wants to hear from you directly. Let him know what’s on your mind. Just communicate with God like you would with a close friend.
“Pray when you are sick.” “Pray when you need help.” “Pray for peace.” “Pray to confess your sins.” Why are we told to pray so much? It is because God wants to answer our requests.
Don’t Give Up, even when it feels like God is not answering your prayers keep praying.
“If you need wisdom, ask God and it will be given to you. He will not rebuke you for asking. But when you pray, be certain that your trust is in God alone and that your only goal in receiving wisdom is to exalt Him. A person with divided loyalties is as unstable as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind, therefore resist the urge to give in to selfish motives. Such people should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Their loyalty is divided between God and the world, and they are unstable in everything they do.” (James 1:5-8).
It is a great blessing to have others pray for us.
“Pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.” James 5:16
Reading and listening to other people’s prayers can teach us a lot about prayer. You can observe how other people approach God and address Him in prayer.
