God’s joy is inside you, but you must cultivate it. You have to tap into His joy. You have to develop it and practice it. The Apostle Paul said it this way: “Rejoice in the Lord always. Again, I will say, rejoice” (Philippians 4:4). To rejoice means “to brighten.” The light of Jesus’ joy is inside you. You just have to turn it on.
Are you ready to go to the next level spiritually, physically, and emotionally? Many people hear the truth that God has more in store for them, and something resonates on the inside. Their spirit comes into agreement with God. But oftentimes, their natural minds try to talk them out of it. Those are old ways of thinking, but this is a new season!
This is a new you! It’s time to let God transform your way of thinking with His Word. It’s time to move forward and receive all the blessings God has in store for you!
God’s not limited by what’s happening around you; He’s only limited by what’s happening in you. Open your heart and choose an attitude of faith and expectancy today!
Every time you release an area of your life to Him, every time you choose to follow God’s Word over the temptations of the world, you are experiencing true, everlasting freedom!
God’s joy is inside you, but you have to cultivate it. Like the lemon tree I planted years ago. I made sure the soil was right. I watered it, fed it nutrients, cultivated it, and eventually, the first lemons that were in the tree finally grew enough for me to use.
In a similar way, you have to tap into God’s joy. You have to develop it and practice it. The Apostle Paul says it this way: “Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice” (Philippians 4:4).
One of the best ways to enter into every day empowered, inspired, and intentional is to begin each day by spending time with God. It’s so easy in the morning to pick up our phones and begin to look at our text messages and our emails, and to check out what’s happening on social media. But in that small action, we are filling ourselves with the wrong things right from the start.
Before we check in with the world, we should check in with God. We should fuel ourselves with His Word, His promises, and His proclamations, and then we’ll enter each day with more power. He is our source.
God knows what we need. If we are going to be our best and live exceptionally, we need to get in the habit of spending time with God every day.
Trust that God knows how to lead you. He doesn’t speak to everyone in the same way and learning to hear Him for yourself is a process. Sometimes we make mistakes, but He is a patient teacher and knows how to get our attention.
I love that picture of the angels rejoicing in the sky the night Christ was born. Today, they are still singing, “Glory to God in the highest,” and when you praise Him, you join with the heavenly chorus of angels!
Did you get up this morning ready to embrace the day? Or did you wake up weary, focused on the trials that you may be facing and the frustrations that lie in your path? What we choose to focus on can make all the difference in our lives. To be exceptional means you are intentional with your attitude. Look for what’s right in your life and be grateful for what you have. When we look for God’s goodness and set our eyes on His promises, our thoughts will shift from defeat to victory.
Get up every day and begin to declare who God says you are. “I am a child of the Most High God. I am loved by God. I am strengthened by God. I am accepted by God, and I am full of purpose and destiny.” This will change the atmosphere of your life, and then you will have treasure stored up in your heart to draw from. As you continue to encourage yourself, you will have the ability to see the best not only in yourself, but also in others.
