“Jesus did not die to give us a religion. He died so that through faith in Him, we could have an intimate relationship with God.” (see Ephesians 1:4-5)
Knowing God intimately is so important, because when we do, we’ll easily recognize the lies. When we don’t read the Bible or pray, he wants us to feel guilty, as if God isn’t happy with us or even angry with us for what we haven’t done.
Jesus Christ and by entering an intimate relationship with God through Him. We can’t go to God on our own; we need someone to help us. We require a mediator, and that somebody is Jesus. Jesus bridged the gap between us and God, which our sin had created, and brought us closer to God.
God never condemns us for not being disciplined, but He lovingly invites us to spend time with Him. Heaven is available to us through simple trust in Jesus, but the good life is enjoyed when we act the way Jesus acts. We should want to read the Word because it holds the keys to knowing God intimately and enjoying Him completely.
The most wonderful thing about this intimate, personal relationship with God is that He cares about everything that concerns you, EVERYTHING.
God loves you and sees the good in you. Isn’t that wonderful? That is certainly something to be grateful for! God sees what you are becoming and will be; He is not overly concerned about your faults. He knew all of them when He invited you to be in an intimate relationship with Him.
All God wants is your love and a willingness to grow in Him. Your presence is a present to the world. You are unique and one of a kind. Do not ever forget, for even a day, how very special you are.
The most wonderful thing about this intimate, personal relationship with God is that He cares about everything that concerns you, everything.
Trust God enough to hope for the best: the best relationship, the best opportunity, the best marriage, the best news, the best outcome, the best life. Expect something good to happen to you today!
