Strength is found in His presence. Joy and peace are found in His presence. The question is, will you be found in His presence?
Three words that should relieve us of the anxiety and care we often feel about situations in our everyday lives are these: God knows best. Only in God’s presence can we find the peace and the joy we long for (Ps 16:11; 27:4).
In the busyness of this season, take some time today to just be still in God’s presence. He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. -Psalm 46:10-11 (NIV).
In Scripture, David said, “I was glad when they said to me, ‘Let’s go to the house of the Lord!’” David knew He was stronger by getting in the presence of God and being around the people of God—that’s true for you also!
The Bible says, when you lift Him up, He’ll lift you up. Your praise brings Him on the scene. God has imparted into your soul, His goodness, His mercy, but you don’t receive it by forcing it; you receive it by believing it, by saying, “I believe something has changed in my life. I believe God has done something for me because I have been in His presence.” You can’t be in God’s presence and remain the same.
The presence of God is powerful. It gives us peace, joy, strength, and so much more. Enter His presence with thanksgiving and praise!
I love the promise that when we are weak, that’s when God is strong in us. When you are facing adversity, envision God battling for you, doing what you can’t do. Get a picture of how strong God is and hold it in your heart!
God designed you with a purpose in mind. God loves you. He has a specific, unique and glorious destiny for you. He promises to guide you. God’s purpose for you is bigger than your mistakes. I have made many mistakes in my life, but God has not stopped guiding me. When you turn to God, He is there.
When you are consciously aware of God’s presence; it will impact your talk, your behavior, and your thoughts and yes, therefore change your life and how you treat others. God gives us the strength to live from love and to be kind to others.
When you come to know God, He will fill your heart with kindness, for He works to loves through us.

Say this prayer if you need to feel God’s presence: “Jesus, You know everything I’m dealing with. Right now, I really need to feel the power of Your presence—I need to know You’re here with me. Lord, help me shift my focus away from my circumstances and put it on You. Thank You for exchanging my worry, frustration, and fear for Your peace that overrides all understanding.
“Thank You that I can have Your peace, even when circumstances are confusing. Help me see things from Your perspective—give me a glimpse of how You’re working in the middle of the madness. I choose to believe that no matter what happens today, You’ll give me the grace I need to overcome it. Thank You for being my joy and my strength, and for helping me be a dispenser of Your hope for those around me today. In Jesus’ name, Amen!”
