Paul said it this way in Romans 8:28, “All things work together for good for those that love the Lord.” Even our mistakes, even the times we blew it and got off track, God knows how to work it all out for our good.
God says He is searching for a perfect heart, not a flawless performance—a heart that strives to please Him, a heart that is anguished over sin and wrongdoing, a heart that trusts in Him and His readiness and capacity to forgive and heal. God knows we cannot manifest perfection. It is acceptable to be needy.
Trust in God, don’t worry, think about what you’re thinking about, and maintain peace in your heart no matter what is going on in your life!
The Word of God is so wonderful and has power in it to renew our minds and change our lives.
God is a God of hearts. He sees and cares about our attitude of heart even more than our performance. Each moment that we’re given is a precious gift from God. We can choose to have a thankful attitude and live each moment full of joy, simply because God is good and He has given us much to be thankful for.
God looks on the inside. He is more pleased with somebody with a right heart that fails every once in a while than with somebody that has a wrong heart and performs perfectly all the time.
You serve a God that can take the worse things that have happened to you and work them out for your good. First, you have to believe that God can do it, instead of believing the lies that you don’t deserve it.
Colossians 3:12 says, “God has given us the power to endure whatever comes our way with a good attitude.” You’ve got to go to work with a smile on your face, a good attitude, being good to people, and doing more than you have to.
We can be thankful that God loves us and chooses to make His home in us. This decision is based purely on God’s grace, mercy, power, and love, not on any good deeds we have done or could do.
Prayer Starter: Lord, my performance is far from flawless, yet I want to please You in everything I do. Draw me close to Your heart today that I may be like You, amen.
