Joel Osteen: “Father, Thank You For This Day, Thank You That You Woke Me Up, Thank You That You Gave Me Air To Breathe”

If God is for you, who can be against you? Today, no matter what you face, let your attitude be, “God’s got this!” Then thank Him for the victory that’s already on its way!

When you wake up each morning, you need to say, “Father, thank You for this day. Thank You that You woke me up. Thank You that You gave me air to breathe. Thank You for the favor You have bestowed upon me. Even when nothing is flawless, I am aware that You are in charge. I am happy to still be alive. I’m appreciative of my family. I’m appreciative of every chance. I’m going to take advantage of today.” That’s not just being positive, that’s putting on a fresh new attitude. You’re wiping the slate clean.

Today is a special day to pause and remember the goodness of God in our land and to thank Him for our freedoms. It’s a time to remember the good things that God has done in your life and in the lives of your family members and to give Him thanks. When you take the time, you can see those places and spaces in your life when God brought you victory, brought you success. When you remember what God has said and bring an offering of gratefulness to God from your heart for Who He is and all that He has done, it will transform your life.

Living with an attitude of thanksgiving can happen every day of the year, you don’t just thank God for what He did in the past, you also thank Him for what He will do in the future. You thank Him for opening new doors. You thank Him for increasing you. You thank Him for bringing the right people into your life.

Today I encourage you to be deliberately grateful. Maybe start by writing down three things to be grateful for every day. You’d be surprised at how much your perspective changes when you start thinking about the things you are grateful for. Remember, you may not be happy about everything, but you can be grateful in everything!

When we thank God in advance, that’s really a declaration of faith. Your thanks is saying, “God, I’m so sure of Your goodness, I’m so sure that You’re working in my life that I’m going to thank You right now for what You are going to do tomorrow.” Remember, faith is what pleases God. Faith is what moves Him. Faith is what opens the door for His promises to enter your life.

Wherever your plans may bring you, we want to remind you to not only enjoy and cherish the special time set aside with your family and friends, but invite God’s presence into your life and home this holiday. May you feel His blessing today and every day of the year!

Remember, God loves you so much today. He wants to restore you. He wants to restore your family. He has a great future planned for you. Stand in faith, keep believing, and keep praying because there’s nothing too difficult for Him. Even If you don’t feel like it, take a step of faith; God sees your obedience to Him. He’ll honor you because you’ve honored His Word.

Today and always, we honor and celebrate the strength, guidance, protection, provision and love of godly Fathers. Know that you are valued and you are needed in this generation. Thank you for all you do, and may God bless you and your family today!
