God has the wisdom, the guidance and the direction we need for our lives, but it doesn’t happen automatically.
Psalm 32:8 says, “I will lead you down the best path for your life.” God has the wisdom, guidance and direction we need, but it’s not going to happen automatically. There’s something we have to do. Every morning, we have to ask God to show us our assignment for the day.
All throughout the day, we should be acknowledging God, asking for His help, seeking His wisdom, following His commands and thanking Him for His goodness.
In the morning, we should wake up and say, “Father, I commit this day, my plans and my future into Your hands. Make the route obvious, show me what to do, and provide me with the necessary words.”
When you start the day like this, God promises to crown your day with success.
When you are driving on the freeway say, “Father, thank You for keeping me safe.”
At the office say, “Lord, help me to be focused and productive today.”
At home, “Father, bless my children.” Before you go to bed, “Lord, thank You for a good night’s rest.”
He pledges to lead and guide you down pathways of peace, joy, and everlasting life if you acknowledge Him in all your ways!
When you look at your situation on your own, it may be impossible. The good news is, you’re not on your own. You are backed by the most powerful force in the universe. Just a smidgeon of His favor can launch you to new heights.
Sometimes God will ask you to do things that don’t make sense. Your first thought may be to not obey, but if you listen again you’ll hear God saying, “Just do it. Sow a seed. Take a step of faith.” When you do, God will do something amazing in your life.
If you will make somebody else’s day, God will always make your day. If you’ll bring a smile to someone else’s face, God will bring a smile to your face. The most rewarding way to live is not asking, “What can you do for me?” but asking,“What can I do for you?”
PRAYER FOR TODAY: Father, I acknowledge You in everything I do. I invite You to direct my steps and search my heart. I surrender every area of my life to You. Keep me close to You always in Jesus’ name. Amen.
