Go Serve – Joel Osteen Daily Devotion (November-24-2021)

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” Mark 10:45, NIV

TODAY’S WORD: The best way to ease stress in your life is to get your mind off the pressures by reaching out to help somebody else. With a kind word or a helpful hand, you may sow good seeds in someone else’s life and receive a harvest of blessings. God expects you to contribute, but He doesn’t do it to frustrate or worry you out. He does it to provide you with fantastic chances. God is attempting to assist you in sowing your seeds so that you might reap the benefits of your labors. You’ll experience contentment, serenity, joy, strength, and fulfillment that only God can provide when you serve others. Those who serve receive strength, joy, energy, tranquility, and healing. If you’re faithful to do your part, He will be faithful to do His part. Don’t let the enemy deceive you into thinking that you can’t sow seeds of blessing in someone else’s life. Get that seed into the ground so it can grow into a harvest of blessing and victory!

You have to be faithful in the wilderness before God will take you into the Promised Land. When you keep serving with excellence, serving when nobody is watching, serving when you’re not getting credit, serving when it doesn’t look like it will ever change, then one day, you’ll come into a destiny moment where God opens a door bigger than you ever imagined.

Joel encourages us that the path to our purpose is found through serving, not through self-promotion. In the Bible, we read that David, who eventually became King of Israel, started in the shepherd’s fields serving his father. He was faithful in the fields for years before he ever saw promotion. When his time for promotion came, God met David in his place of faithfulness. The same is true for us today. God has things to teach us as we serve others in the “shepherd’s field” that are necessary for our destiny. Don’t discount the power of being faithful, of serving. Keep being your best where you are, knowing that you are sowing seeds into your future.

PRAYER FOR TODAY: God, thank You for the opportunities You give me to reap a harvest. Make me alert today to those who need encouragement and help. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
