Give God Your Weakness, And He Will Give You His Strength

At times I don’t like the fact that I’m weak. More than often I fear my weaknesses — I forget that God supplies all the strength that I need.

We live in a world that pushes you to be successful on your own, where you have to stride to independently build your life, weakness is seen as “failure”.

But the Kingdom of God, says be afraid of those moments when you think you are independently strong. At all cost we must avoid the delusions of strength and fully depend on the Grace of God.

God’s grace makes a way for God’s strength to enter into our weakness. Grace frees you from being devastated that you can no longer do it all alone. It takes your trust in you, and puts it in God.

“Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God. They collapse and fall, but we rise and stand upright.” (Ps. 20-7-8)

At the end of the day. When it’s all said and done, faith isn’t for strong people, but for weak people. Rejoice in the feeble framework of your life. God uses our faith to fuel what we’re called to do.

God is so good that even our weakness is an opportunity for renewal to take place. An opportunity to grab hold of the peace and power offered to us by the Father.

“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is perfected in weakness.”  2 Corinthians 12:9

When you are going through a difficult time, take a moment to remember that the source of strength is the love of Christ in you and through you. Moments of weakness are a gift because it’s where His power is made perfect. In His presence, we find His power.

When God’s strength meets our weakness, we find ourselves able to overcome the seemingly impossible. In fact, 1 Peter 5:10 states that He is ready to “restore, support, and strengthen you, and he will place you on a firm foundation.”

When we place ourselves in God’s hands this is the kind of security and strength He surrounds us with.

A fortress is a strong place of refuge that is, well-protected and can be defended. When we place ourselves in God’s hands this is the kind of security and strength He surrounds us within His loving care.

So continue to lean into Him and He will make your way perfect.
